Artist Statement

Using the image of a child over and over intrigued me, not only because the child was adorable but also aesthetically the repetition of his shape on the egg’s surface was interesting. By adhering the image of a child to an egg, two beginning life cycles are shown.

My work is often based in photographic alternative processes combined with portraiture. While my work brings fond remembrances, there is also a bittersweet acknowledgement of the passage of time.
