Artist Statement

With Pam, art is not a spectator sport – it is understandable, accessible, interactive and community-oriented. She is inspired by the beauty in the chaos of the everyday.  Her artwork ranges from street art, art installations at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital to monumental Memory Quilts in the lobby of Cincinnati’s Contemporary Arts Center.  Pam is the creator & face of CAC-TV and the curator of the live art performances at the Art of Food. Her alter ego, Pinky Shears, is the notorious Mastermind of the Yarn-Bombing Collective – the Bombshells of Cincinnati. Pam was honored to be the voted “The Best of Cincinnati Artists” by CityBeat Magazine.  Pam has been a notable addition to numerous parades from the Kennedy Heights Art Center to the Reds Opening Day Parade to Bockfest and Pride Parades.

Pam is also a national board-certified art teacher with 24 years of experience. She has been Teacher of the Year, District Teacher of the Year, a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar, and is a grant recipient as a Funds for Teachers Fellow.  She is a Master Teacher at the Cincinnati Art Museum and has taught workshops at the Contemporary Arts Center, the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and the Ohio Art Educators Association (OAEA).

Ms. Kravetz is a true Cincinnatian - born, raised and living in the Queen City.  She lives in Columbia Tusculum with her husband Craig, dog Lenny Kravetz, and a grey cat.
